Staying Safe in Kirklees is for all women living in their own homes in Kirklees who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence. It is also for women who are moving out of refuges or other emergency accommodation in to a new home. |

What do we mean by domestic violence?Domestic violence is emotional, physical or sexual abuse from someone whom you’ve had or are having a relationship with. This can be a husband, partner or member of your family. |
What kind of support does Staying Safe in Kirklees provide?Support is tailored to the needs of each woman and her children. When a woman is referred, the project worker will meet her to talk to her about her needs and to ensure that she understands what the service offers. |

What if I’d like support but still live with my partner?You can still access the service. We will arrange to meet you in a safe and suitable location. What about confidentiality?We have a strict confidentiality policy. The project worker will discuss this with all women who use the service and will give you a copy of the policy. |
